Slack

Answer questions in Slack channels and direct messages.

  1. Create an app at api.slack.com/apps. Under OAuth & Permissions add the scopes app_mentions:read, chat:write and im:history, then install it.
  2. Copy the bot token and signing secret into Channels → Slack and save.
  3. Under Event Subscriptions, set the request URL from the dashboard and subscribe to app_mention and message.im.
  4. Mention the app in a channel, or message it directly. It answers in a thread.
