Questions
How is this different from Chatbase?
It does what Chatbase does (train on your site and files, widget, integrations, actions, inbox) free during launch: you pay only what third-party services cost us, at cost, with more agents and an agent that keeps answering when you pass your monthly allowance. It also adds WhatsApp without message markup, Telegram and Razorpay.
What does it cost?
Nothing during launch. Answers run on Surge's own AI server. If you turn on an add-on that costs us money (Claude, speech for voice notes and calls), you pay exactly what the provider charges us, from a prepaid balance. WhatsApp, Twilio and Exotel bill you directly on your own accounts.
Which AI models do you use?
Qwen running on Surge's own servers in Bengaluru. Claude by Anthropic is an optional add-on, at cost.
Do you train AI models on my data?
No. Your documents and conversations are used only to answer your customers.
Can it hand chats to a person?
Yes, always. It hands over when asked, when it can't answer, on keywords you choose, or when the customer sounds upset, and respects your office hours.
Do I need a developer?
